Meet Ms Dani

Born a nerd with a love for computers, Dani never saw herself on a stage; however, after taking her first dance class in middle school, dance quickly became her passion. Her training includes at Broadway Dance Center’s Professional Semester, Steps on Broadway, Dance New Amsterdam, Peridance, and Synthesis Dance Project.

Dani has been teaching for over a decade at many studios in central New Jersey as well as guest teaching across the country with Stage Door Workshops. She has experience working with students ages 18 months through adult in creative movement, ballet, jazz, lyrical, musical theater, and contemporary. Her students have won awards from a myriad of competitions including the prestigious Youth American Grand Prix and have been accepted into college dance programs such as AMDA, Rider U, Rutgers University. Dani has coached senior voice students and has created dance audition reels that have gained them admittance into competitive musical theatre programs; Marymount Manhattan, ECU, RIDER U. She has certifications ABT® Teacher Training Intensive in Pre-Primary through Level Three of the ABT® National Training Curriculum, Associated Dance Teachers of New Jersey Simonson Method of Teacher Training, and Acrobatic Arts, and is currently working on her NASM Personal Trainer Certification.

As much as she loves choreographing, her passion lies in working on the technique behind the choreography. Currently, Ms Dani is having the time of her life teaching at JE Voice Studio in Central New Jersey!

  • Ms. Dani, as she is affectionately known to us, is truly the embodiment of what a wonderful dance teacher should be. She is warm and caring, and particularly great at working with the younger students, exhibiting a patience and love that is necessary with that age group. She has been teaching my daughter for 4 years since a “mommy and me” class that wasn’t supposed to be a mommy and me class until my 3 year old who had separation anxiety turned it into one. Ms. Dani adapted to what worked for my daughter to make her comfortable and helped her ease into dance class without me. My now almost 7 year old is much more independent and thriving in dance, and Ms. Dani continues to be her dance teacher and one of her favorite people, which is a testament to how much she truly cares for her students. She is patient and kind, while also teaching them to be disciplined in their craft. She makes class the perfect combination of work and fun. I have seen my daughter grow in leaps and bounds while working with Ms. Dani, as a dancer but also as a person. We are truly lucky to have found her, and she has truly inspired my daughter to be the best dancer she can be and instilled a love of dance in her that I know she will carry with her forever.

  • Dani Hernandez is the most qualified, proficient, and professional dance teacher that I have ever had the privilege to not only work with as a colleague, but as well as being one of her students for many years. Years ago, Dani took me under wing and trained me in some of her best techniques and methods to teach preschool dance classes, to which I credit her for helping me become the dance teacher that I am today. Her professionalism, attitude towards teaching, and positive and excited spirit and energy as a dance teacher, are unlike any other colleague that I have worked with.
